First Day of School

The kids had their first day of school last Wednesday. Brody is now officially a 4th grader, Wyatt is a 2nd grader and Maggie is a Kindergartner!
Wow, time has really flown by. The kids go to a great school, and all have the best teachers in the world. We are so fortunate to be have them in such a great school. It's a big part of the reason we haven't move. Heaven knows we need a bigger house!
Brody was really excited to go to school Wednesday because his classroom is upstairs. This is a big deal in the grade school world. No more primary school for him. He is one year from the top of the food chain, and he knows it. In fact, I think he is planning for next years domination already!

Wyatt was lucky enough to have the same teacher Brody had in the 2nd grade-Mrs. Stice. She is so much fun. I know Wyatt and her are going to get along fantastically. I was hoping and praying at the end of last year when the class assignments were made he would get her and he did! Wyatt's big news this year is that he gets to actually be the big brother. Up til now Wyatt has been "Brody's little brother", but now with Maggie in kindergarten he can be a big brother. He has already slid into that roll perfectly by helping his sister on the bus and making sure she gets to where she is going safely.
Of course this is Maggie's first year in "big kid school", and she is loving it. When we dropped her off for her first day she really could not have cared less if I was there or not. The poor little boy next her was crying for his mom, but not her. When Rex and I said "goodbye" she looked at us like "don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out". I guess that's a good thing, but an "I missed you" wouldn't kill me!
So, 3 of my 4 are in school full time. I am getting old for sure.
The next step for the Harper kids: potty training. Now that I have Hudson one on one we are going to start working on potty training. 10 straight years of buying diapers is long enough!

Isaac talks about "when he has a classroom upstairs" all the time! Too funny! They really do go to such an awesome school! I love it!
