Happy Birthday Hudson

It seems like just yesterday that I was posting his one year party pictures.
This year has just flown by. Hudson has grown so much this year. He talks like crazy, is into everything, and is so much fun to be around. He has such a sweet personality. We are very lucky to have him in our family.
We started the day on the boat. The sun finally came out and we took advantage! This picture is of Hudson telling you he is the "BIG 2". He can't show you with one hand, so he uses the index fingers of both hands.
Since Hudson eats us out of house and home I decided to do "Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carl themed party. I had thought of this a few months ago, and come up with some pretty cute ideas, and then someone I know posted pictures of the same party she threw for her 3 year old a few weeks ago. I admit I did steal the cake idea from her. Thanks Lindsey!
In case you are not familiar with the book, a baby caterpillar and eats his way through a week. At the end of the week he is not a small caterpillar anymore, wraps up in a cocoon and becomes a butterfly. Hudson loves all the colors in the book. Everything the Hungry Caterpillar ate throughout his week was on the table. It was a lot of fun. The kids made butterfly decorations by coloring coffee filters with markers and then spraying water on them. The colors bleed all together to make a tie dyed effect. Wrap them with pipe cleaners to form a body and your are done.

Hudson got this blow up thing that is basically a hamster wheel. All the kids had a great time. He is a little small for it, but that does not stop him.
He was really good about giving other kids a turn, but once he wanted another turn he would push one of the big kids out of the way to get back on in regular Tank fashion. After eating his body weight in cake he wanted to spend the night in the rolly thing. Unfortunately he has mean parents that would not allow it!
