Heavy Heart

How could a heart ever be heavy? It does not change in weight, once your grown. It does change in the love and feelings it has. My is defiantly heavy. I have been struck by the words of the past couple of days.
First, Caroleen was a fighter. She fought for a lot of things. She fought for traditions, many of which I thought were crappy; but now bring me to tears when I see her beautiful daughter share them with my children.
She fought to love. She loved life, her family, and most importantly to be right with God. She was not unrighteous in any stretch of the word. Which quite frankly scares me, for I am very far from righteous, but if there is one thing I learned from her and my family it is: to never stop doing good; and the rest will work itself out. I saw that in her life. In her last days she asked to have a final temple recommended interview. Because she was a person who lived so well she knew the importance of letting the Lord know she was ready, not perfect but ready.
Finally, my heart is full because I am not ready, but have realized that only through service can we be ready. Serve you family, serve your friends, most of all serve those you don't know. The pure love of Christ.
FIGHT to love life, show your love through service.
There are very few of my family members who will not say "hello" to everyone standing in line anywhere. Hopefully I can follow the examples of my life.... My Dad, mom, brothers, uncles, cousins, kids, Genai, and most of all Caroleen. Sorry it took me so long to write something.
I Love You.
