Artsy Fartsy

I have had the artsy fartsy bug for a while.

At first I thought it was just because it was Christmas, and I saw all of these cute things everywhere.

Then I blamed it on the fact that I have been reading all these blogs by some really creative people,

But now... I think I have just been bitten by the bug. I have all these thoughts floating around in my head, and I want to see how they will turn out.

Writing them down and publishing them hopefully will give me the initiative to do them. I am going to post pictures of my creations, and keep track of my success. Yes, this is one of my resolutions for the year.

My first brainchild was a combination stocking hanger/Christmas card display. We do not have a fireplace, so I needed somewhere to display our stockings, and I hate that we get so many super cute pictures from friends and family, but have no where to display them during the holiday season; so this is what I came up with:

It turned out better than I imagined it would which made me happy. I am so anal about things, that I have a hard time making things and then being happy with the way it turned out.
