"I Can Do Hard Things"

"I can do hard things" is our family motto. When the kids are having a hard time with something that is what we tell them. When one of us is giving up on something that is what they say. It has become almost a mantra in the Harper house.

To remind the kids every morning that they can achieve anything they set their minds to I put it on their bathroom mirror. Every morning when they get ready for school they can see themselves in the mirror and read what they hopefully will come to realize...that they can indeed do hard things.

One day the kids will realize that those "hard things" were the things that were the most important. The things they learned the most from. Real life lessons come when you are pushed to your limits. Each time you think you have hit your limit, that limit is stretches out just a little further until one day you realize you have no limits.

That the only thing that limits you- is you!
