City Kid

On our way home from Salt Lake we stopped and had a short visit with Great Grandpa Poulton (Rex's maternal grandfather)and Uncle Dale, Aunt Amy and their family. They own a dairy farm in Declo, Idaho that the kids love to visit.

We usually go visit in the summer when the canals run high with quickly running water luring the kids (and adult) to tube down and the dust flies high.

This visit was in the middle of a wet and consequently muddy Spring.
This was Hudson's first time there as an independent toddler.
He was not a huge fan of the mud we encountered on the way to see the calf's, he kept saying "this floor is icky, my shoes are getting dirty!"

But my favorite memory of the afternoon came when Hudson actually came face to face with the cows. He stood in front of their pens staring at them for quite awhile, and then started yelling "you are suppose to say "MOO!"".
It was driving him crazy that the calf's wouldn't say "MOO". He knew they were suppose to and he couldn't figure out what their problem was.

He said it over and over again.
Visiting the animals was old hat for the rest of the kids, but they still had so much fun. I really don't even know why we take the kids to Disney World when thy have just as much fun on the farm.
