To answer all the questions: yes Rex did write the last post. I thought it was great. He doesn't like to write, but I wish he would do it more ofter, he is really good.
Now on to the latest post.
Spring Break
Since this was suppose to be the last week it was legal to have snow tires on; Rex was extremely busy at work. Wyatt's birthday was at the beginning of the week, mine in the middle, and Easter at the end. None of us wanted to spend these days apart, so we decided to stay home for Spring Break.
The first couple days were uneventful-for mom anyway. The boys spent the majority of Monday playing the new Wii games Wyatt got for his birthday. The new Mario Brothers and another Spongebob game that drives me crazy. Something about the way Spongebob laughs makes me want to rip my eardrums out of my head! Wyatt bought Spongebob with his own money while I was there, and I actually let him, so I earned some mom of the year points, which is good because I am pretty far behind this year.
Wednesday was my birthday so Rex had the day off and we went to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn. Beautiful! I love that place. If you missed the post, check it out, it is a couple down.
Thursday
there was a reprieve from the rain so the kids and I decided to go to the zoo
. We really lucked out. Most of the animals were out basking in the sun and since we went late enough in the day (I was waiting for the clouds to burn off) we were able to see several the animals being fed. We all had a ton of fun.
Friday Rex's store closes for 3 hours to honor Good Friday. Every year all of the guys from
most of the stores in the area go bowling. This year Rex's store and the Tualatin location combined efforts and met at Tigard Bowl. Rex invited us to come and bowl with the guys so we did. It was a blast. I am an awful bowler, but the kids did really well. Thank heavens they didn't inherent my bowling skills.
Sunday was Easter. General Conference and Easter on the same day. It was very n
ice. The mom in me was upset that the kids couldn't wear their Easter outfits to church on Easter Sunday, but the rational part of me was thankful to be able to hear from the leaders of our church on such a remarkable day. I plan to write a more detailed post about Easter later in the week. Here's a little preview: Hudson plus unlimited amounts of candy equals crazy times at the Harper House!
Now it's Monday, and the kids are back in school. It's quiet, it's a mess, and it's depressing.

I absolutely LOVE the 2 pictures of all 4 of your kids! So cute! Spongebob - yes his laugh is annoying! And I am with ya about Easter and General conf. It was sooo nice to listen to conf., but I would have liked to dress the kids up for church too! Oh well, next yr, right?
