A Painful Resolution
So, I have written about my resolutions a few times now. Be a more soft spoken parent, do more craft projects, but this is the really hard one.
This is the one that is going to get me up early in the morning; the one that is going to make me sweat; the one that may actually cry out in misery!!!
The Portland to Coast
It isn't really the race that may make me want to die, it will be the training for it. I know that I can walk two 5 mile legs of a relay, but I want to do it in good time, and with a healthy body.
I took my first walk yesterday to gage myself. Find out where I am now, and set a realistic goal of where I want to be in a month, in 3 months, and on August 27th when I set my hopefully less fat butt on the way to the beach.
Here is the goal: a 10 minute mile
I am only 5'3" so that would be close to 160 steps a minute. 140 is booking it for me right now, so that is a significantly high goal.
I know I can do it!
It is going to take some serious work.
It is going to take the cooperation and support of my family
but....
I will do it!
