A checker at Costco today said "Merry Christmas"
to me as I left his line.
I said "Merry Christmas"
back but I must have had a surprised look on my face because he quickly recanted with a
"ah...Happy Holiday's"
To which I replied
"No..it's Merry Christmas!"
*Smile*
I do not understand why it is so offensive to say "Merry Christmas". The majority of people celebrate Christmas. This is not a religious discussion, it's a holiday. A federal holiday at that. I am so tired of people making something out of nothing. I would not be offended if someone were to wish me a "Happy Hanukkah".
So..
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I said it, and I will continue to say it!
Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Christmas Tree day too!!!!

Merry Christmas, indeed! I was talking about this with Dan the other day. I wouldn't be offended if someone wished me a happy anything... Why is Christmas so offensive to people?

Funny we had this exact conversation a few days before Christmas, literally almost word for word.
