Things

These are a few of my favorite things...........
(in no particular order)

My Kids.....

Brody is such a sweet boy. He loves to help out whenever he can. He rides his skateboard and draw. He makes good decisions, and always weighs the consequences of his actions. He strives to choose the right, and loves being with his friends.

Wyatt loves to have fun. He loves to snuggle you and let you know he loves you. He is learning to read, and is very proud of himself (as are we). Wyatt is a great soccer player, and can't help but dance after every goal he scores. He is a dancing machine.

Magnolia is spit fire. She loves all thing girlie. Dancing, singing, dressing up, playing house and bossing everyone around. She has such a sweet heart, and loves to love you. She keeps her "boys" on their toes.

Hudson is a tank. He is busy and curious. He is a big baby that loves to play and laugh. He tries so hard to keep up with his big brothers and sister. He is learning to communicate and is so excited when he learns a new word.

My husband.....

Rex and I have been married for 10 1/2 years. We have a great life. Not only do we have really cool kids we love to hang out with, we love hanging out with each other. I am very lucky to have such a patience and loving husband.

My sister.....

Amanda is awesome. People always say "I could never live with my sister!", but we have so much fun together. We laugh and joke all the time. She is so good with the kids, and fun to be around.

My life in general.....
So, I know it sounds cheesy, but when I take a step back and look at my life I am amazed by the blessings I have been given. I would have never imagined I would be lucky enough to have a great husband, whom I love so much, awesome kids that make me laugh everyday and a beautiful home to live in. I have made a conscious decision to live life with a positive outlook. It is so easy to get wrapped up in "what didn't happen", or "what should have happened" that sometimes you forget what is really important..right now. In Kung Fu Panda Master Oogway says: "yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's is why it is called the present"

Everyone has trials in their lives, and it's how we deal with those challenges that makes us who we are. At the end of every trial I realize that I am better for having gone through it. Does that mean that I am happy while in the midst of it? No, but having the perspective that there is something to be learned for what one is going through changes your perspective of the situation.

Things don't always go the way I have meticulously planned them to, but if I forge through without complaint, I am being an example to my children of the way Heavenly Father would have us live our lives. Take each day as a gift...because it is. Each day you get to spend with someone you love is a gift.
