Fall Fun

This October we took our annual trip to Utah for the Elk Hunt. Rex and the boys went up to the mountian, but because the elevation change was too much for the baby Mom, Maggie and Hudson stayed in Salt Lake.
The boys had a great time playing with their cousins. No mom, plenty of mud, no showers and all the snacks you can eat is a recipe for a great time!

Brody is playing Fall baseball again this year. He was invited to play a division up so the boys he's playing against are 10 and 11 years old. Brody isn't the tallest kid to say the least, and some of the boys on other teams absolutely dwarf him. We think he is so brave to take a pitch from boys 2 years older and as tall as his mom. He more than keeps up with them, and scores at least once every game.

Wyatt is playing soccer and having a great time. He has a great coach this year and is learning a ton. He has to concentrate so hard to not use his hands to defend, that he keeps his hands on his chest most of the time. It is so cute. In one of the first games of the season he was trying to defend the goal, and his opponent was relentless; so Wyatt decided to just put his head down and drill the poor boy. The next thing we knew Wyatt was on his way down the field with the ball, and the poor boy was laying on the grass crying. We told him that he needed to be more sportsman like, and he said "well if he didn't want me to hit him so should have gotten out of my way! I'm out here to make a goal!" And that's why we love Wyatt so much!

Magnolia is all little girl. She loves to play with dolls, dress up and dance. She started a dance class and loves it. I think she dances more than she walks. She has so much fun, and loves to play with "her boys." She makes them play house with her and they love her so much they play along. She also goes to pre-school 2 days a week which solidifies in her mind her maturity. Her brothers went to the same pre-school, so to her that makes her "a big girl".

Hudson is growing faster than anyone could imagine. He is almost 4 months old and growing out of his 6 month sized clothes. He eats a can of babyfood twice a day and plays in his bouncer unassisted. He is already too big to take a bath in the kitchen sink with his seat. Since he was born the size of a two month old, we think he is trying to keep up with expectations! He has such a great personality already. He laughs and smiles constantly. He responds to his name when you say it, but he also responds if you call him Tank (which is what Rex called him when he was born) we think that nickname might just stick!
